Under the organization and guidance of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the release ceremony of the new book "Inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine Masters" organized and compiled by the China Traditional Chinese Medicine Publishing House was recently held in Beijing. Qin Huaijin, deputy director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a member of the Party Leadership Group, Zhang Boli, academician of the CAE Member and professor of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, unveiled the new book. The title of "Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine" is the highest honor in the traditional Chinese medicine industry. Since 2009, it has gone through four sessions, with a total of 120 traditional Chinese medicine experts receiving this honor. The winner of the title of "Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine" is an outstanding representative of leading talents in traditional Chinese medicine. At the release ceremony, Song Chunsheng, Chairman of China Traditional Chinese Medicine Press, introduced the publishing process of "Inheritance of Chinese Medicine Masters". The "Inheritance Record of Chinese Medical Masters" is a masterpiece that comprehensively showcases the demeanor of 120 Chinese medical masters for the first time. The series systematically combs and summarizes the inheritance context, talent path, academic essence and other aspects of the Chinese medical masters, showing their outstanding academic attainments, excellent academic style of dedication, and spiritual style of self-cultivation and learning, and setting an example for the younger generation of Chinese medicine in learning and practicing medicine. At the event, Chinese medicine masters Wang Qi, Chao Enxiang, and Liu Minru, as representatives of Chinese medicine masters, shared their ways of inheritance. Wang Xian, the dean of Dongzhimen Hospital at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as a representative of the unit where Chinese medicine masters work, introduced the support for the inheritance of Chinese medicine masters. Professor Mao Jingyuan, a nationally renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and scholars Zhu Liguo and Xie Yanming from Qihuang, as well as Professor Liu Xiaobin, a descendant of the deceased Chinese medicine master Deng Tietao, as representatives of the inheritors, narrated their path of learning medicine and expressed that as the backbone of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance, they should strive to shoulder the mission and responsibility of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance. It is reported that Zhang Boli, an academician of the CAE Member and a master of traditional Chinese medicine, and Chen Keji, an academician of the CAS Member and a master of traditional Chinese medicine, as the leader of the expert steering committee of the series, witnessed the whole process of the series from the determination of the preliminary plan, to the organization of preparation, expert approval, and official publication.
