Minimally invasive robots appear at the 2023 World Robotics Conference

From August 16th to 22nd, the 2023 World Robotics Conference, hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Association for Science and Technology, with the theme of "Open Innovation, Sharing the Future", was held at the Beijing International Convention and Exhibition Center. Shanghai Minimally Invasive Medical Robotics (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Minimally Invasive Robots") carries Tumai Four Arm Endoscopic Surgery Robot (referred to as "Tumai Robots"), Honghu Orthopedic Surgery Robot (referred to as "Honghu Robots"), Mona Lisa Prostate Puncture Robot Positioning System (referred to as "Mona Lisa") R-ONE Vascular Interventional Surgery Robot (R-ONE) and Tumai Endoscopic Surgery Robot Mobile Training and Exhibition Platform (Tumai Mobile Training Platform) have made their debut, bringing domestic surgical robot products and 5G remote surgery application cases and on-site experiences to the conference. Tumai Four Arm Endoscopic Surgery Robot is a domestically produced four arm endoscopic surgery robot approved for market by NMPA. It is reported that Tumai Robot has completed a total of over 1000 auxiliary clinical validation surgeries in more than 40 hospitals in 20 provinces across the country, including urology, hepatobiliary surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, thoracic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, nail and breast surgery, covering high difficulty and complex surgical procedures in the chest, abdominal cavity, and pelvic cavity. In January of this year, 17 departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Health Commission jointly issued the "Robot+" Application Action Implementation Plan, proposing to promote the accelerated application of new technologies and products, including 5G remote surgery for robots. In this context, Tumai robots have assisted numerous domestic hospitals and experts in multiple surgical fields to create a series of records for 5G remote surgery spanning thousands of miles, including 5G ultra remote urology surgery spanning 5000 kilometers, 5G ultra remote cholecystectomy surgery, 5G ultra remote liver resection surgery, 5G ultra remote total hysterectomy surgery, and 5G remote radical prostatectomy. Tumai Endoscopic Surgery Robot Mobile Training and Exhibition Platform Tumai Mobile Training Platform is a mobile surgery and training platform developed and produced by minimally invasive robots in the industry to carry 5G remote robots. It is equipped with a domestically developed Tumai Endoscopic Surgery Robot. Capable of providing the energy, consumables, and maintenance support required for the training of endoscopic surgical robots, as well as display and teaching functions. The Tumai mobile training and display platform allows more medical staff to access, experience, and understand domestic surgical robots without leaving their homes, promoting the development of surgical standardization and standardization, and accelerating the process of inclusive robot surgery. The Honghu orthopedic surgical robot Honghu can be used to assist in total knee arthroplasty (TKA), equipped with a self-developed robotic arm. Through preoperative CT scanning, building a three-dimensional model, and generating personalized implant plans, the surgical process of intraoperative robotic arm registration, bone registration, navigation positioning, precise osteotomy, and implant installation generates an integrated orthopedic surgical solution for patients.
