The purpose of this application work is to collect and select a group of excellent practices and solutions that utilize 5G networks to promote the innovative development of smart tourism, cultivate a group of typical applications that empower the integrated and innovative development of the tourism industry with new generation information technologies such as 5G, establish a group of benchmark projects with strong demonstration drive and replicable promotion, and assist in the high-quality development of the tourism industry and the construction of a digital China. The pilot relies on 5G networks, fully integrating new generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, and augmented reality, to carry out innovation in the application of "5G+smart tourism", explore typical application scenarios, promote the accelerated maturity of related technologies, products, and solutions, and gradually achieve a healthy development of scale, standardization, and industrialization. The Notice further clarifies the main direction of the pilot project content. One is 5G+smart tourism services. Promote the effective integration of 5G with the new generation of information technology, organically integrate with tourism public service platforms, enrich online service models, and promote the scale development of application scenarios such as 5G+4K/8K ultra high-definition video, 5G smart navigation, and 5G+VR/AR immersive experience.
