Recently, under the guidance of the National Health Commission, supported by the Planning, Development and Information Technology Department of the National Health Commission, the China Population Welfare Foundation, the China Population and Development Research Center, and the Health China Research Center, the 2023 Health China Development Conference was held in Beijing, hosted by the Population and Health Journal. On the theme of "Innovation in the Integration Mechanism of Healthy China and Medical Prevention", a scientific research sub venue was also held on the same day, guided by the Planning, Development and Information Technology Department of the National Health Commission. It was jointly hosted by the School of Public Management/Medical Reform Research Center of Renmin University of China, the China Population and Development Research Center, the Cross disciplinary Research Institute of Renmin University of China/Public Health and Disease Control Arts and Sciences Cross disciplinary Team, and the Health China Action Science Research Alliance. Professor Wang Hufeng, Director of the Medical Reform Research Center of Renmin University of China, introduced the background of the meeting and the attendees, and presided over the opening ceremony and signing ceremony. Tang Yonglin, director of the Big data Office of the Planning, Development and Informatization Department of the National Health Commission, said in his speech on behalf of Director Mao Qun'an that the construction of a healthy China has achieved many results in recent years, and the participation of all sectors of society has continued to expand. As a representative of the university system, Renmin University of China has played a leading role in building a healthy China in recent years, especially in teaching and research. The typical experience of Renmin University of China's "Healthy China Action" in campus, classroom, training program activities, and healthy campus construction has high promotion value. Since its establishment one year ago, the Healthy China Scientific Research Alliance has organized essay solicitation activities, held academic annual meetings, and taught the alliance "shared courses", which have achieved significant results. The next step is to promote more universities to participate in the construction of "Healthy China" through the alliance. He Dan, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the Health China Research Center, and director of the China Population and Development Research Center, stated that the Health China Research Center is an exchange platform established under the guidance of the National Health Commission, relying on the China Population and Development Research Center, and collaborating with relevant research institutions to provide research, consulting services, and decision-making support for the construction of a healthy China. The Health China Research Center and Renmin University of China, especially the School of Public Administration and the Medical Reform Research Center, have had close cooperation in recent years. They have jointly hosted the Scientific Research Branch of the Health China Development Conference for two consecutive years, promoting in-depth research on major issues related to the construction of a healthy China. On that day, the China Population and Development Research Center also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Renmin University of China, forming a long-term cooperation mechanism. Professor Yan Jinming, Dean of the School of Public Administration at Renmin University of China, stated that the development of universities has promoted the progress of the times, and the pace of the times has also deeply influenced the construction of universities. Renmin University of China will inherit the spirit of the National People's Congress and explore and innovate for the "Healthy China" strategy. The first level discipline of public management in this school is a national double first-class construction discipline, and the social medicine and health management major is an important component of the independent knowledge system of public management discipline. It has a complete teaching and talent cultivation system from master's and doctoral students to postdoctoral mobile stations, as well as a master's and graduate courses in public management. It has interdisciplinary, international, and high-level characteristics. In the future, we will work together with our sister universities to consciously learn and practice the concept and actions of a healthy China, and work together to build a culture with distinct local characteristics
