Recently, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, the General Office of the National Health Commission, and the General Department of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued the List of the Fifth Batch of National Regional Medical Center Projects. 49 hospitals were approved for the fifth batch of national regional medical center projects, including 13 Chinese medicine hospitals. The hospitals of traditional Chinese medicine approved for the fifth batch of national and regional medical center projects include: Baishan Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Heilongjiang Hospital of Guang'anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Suzhou Hospital of Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lianyungang Hospital of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hainan Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jining Hospital of Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zaozhuang Hospital of Oriental Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Guizhou Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shangqiu Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine, Zhuhai Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Deyang Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Gansu Hospital of Longhua Hospital of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dingxi Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Starting from 2021, China will pilot the construction of national regional medical centers to provide people with fair, high-quality, and convenient medical services nearby. Previously, China has built four batches of 76 national regional medical centers in areas with weak medical resources, including Shanxi Hospital of Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xiamen Hospital of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Jiangxi Hospital of Longhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jinan Hospital of Guang'anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and many other TCM hospitals.
