How to establish professional standards for a gourd maker who has become popular?

2023-07-07

During the midsummer season, watermelon sales peak. A new profession, the melon photographer, has emerged to ensure the quality of watermelons. According to the reporter's interview, the photographer shoots melons tens of thousands of times a day, which brings better quality control and higher sales of watermelons in response to people's higher requirements for watermelon quality and strong demand for e-commerce development. Experts believe that the need for promotion by future melon photographers mainly depends on market demand. At the same time, experts suggest establishing professional standards from two aspects. On July 6, the Pang Nongxing Cooperative in Daxing District of Beijing began its busy work early in the morning. The local melon farmers brought carts of freshly harvested watermelons, and 25 year old melon photographer Zhang Linghui also started her daily routine of "picking melons". Lift a watermelon with your left hand, bounce your index finger a few times with your right hand, weigh it, and immediately throw it to the farmer on the other side for grading and placement... The entire process took only five or six seconds, quickly and orderly, and a qualified Panggezhuang watermelon passed the inspection. This year, Zhang Linghui has tested nearly 3 million kilograms of watermelons. This job has enabled me to achieve watermelon freedom, which has led to a peak in watermelon sales during the midsummer season. Thanks to unique natural conditions such as soil quality and light, the Panggezhuang area in Beijing has a history of over 600 years of watermelon cultivation. Nowadays, the local watermelon is no longer only provided to surrounding cities, but also widely sold in southern China and other regions. The development of the watermelon industry has also brought higher and more stable quality requirements. A new profession called "Gua Pai Shi" is born according to the needs. I was born in 1998 and come from Handan, Hebei. "Last February, Zhang Linghui resigned from her customer service job in her hometown and came to work in Panggezhuang with her family. It only took her two months to start learning and become an independent and responsible "melon patter". At first, I didn't rush to pat melons. Later, after a long time of exposure, I wanted to learn a technique while young. Learning to pat melons started by watching the scales. When the melons were weighed, I listened to the master play the melons while feeling the sound of the melons. This is a job that mainly focuses on experience accumulation, and playing more naturally makes my judgment of watermelons more accurate. "Zhang Linghui told reporters cheerfully: When I encounter unqualified melons, I cut them open to see what the internal problems are, and then eat them. It can be said that this job has also enabled me to achieve 'watermelon freedom', Zhang Linghui showed reporters the appearance and sound of watermelons of different maturity levels: "The standard for a good watermelon is mainly its maturity, which should be ensured that it cannot be born or empty in the hands of consumers. The sound of a good melon is low, dull, but very loud, and the hand held in it will have a vibration when knocking. The sound of a fresh melon is relatively crisp, and without a touch, it feels like knocking stones." The summer noon melon shed is particularly difficult, accompanied by the scorching sun and the roar of vehicles and machines, On the day of the reporter's interview, under the high temperature of 38 ℃, the watermelon acquisition site was like a "big stove". Ice cooling stickers, large fans, mineral water, and heatstroke relievers have become common items here. In order to ensure shipment, Zhang Linghui and other melon photographers immediately start working as soon as they see a new watermelon being delivered. I mainly pick local late melons now, and this year's peak season will probably last until October. On average, I handle at least 30000 kilograms of watermelons and 7000 watermelons every day, knocking on melons tens of thousands of times. I don't have this job either
