Hainan Yangpu Offshore Wind Power Industry Rises Up

2023-06-15

In the hot summer sun, the construction site of the offshore wind power industrial park project in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Hainan, is busy. In another huge equipment factory that has already been built, the milky white offshore wind turbine main engine is waiting for approval for sea use and facing the wind. In order to promote the achievement of the "dual carbon" goal, Hainan vigorously develops offshore wind power and last year laid out offshore wind power equipment manufacturing bases in Yangpu and Dongfang, Danzhou. Nowadays, in Yangpu, Danzhou, the upstream and downstream of the offshore wind power industry are gathering. The offshore wind turbines that have been taken offline and are waiting to go to sea belong to the Yangpu Shenneng Electric Wind Power New Energy Equipment Industry Project (hereinafter referred to as "Yangpu Shenneng Equipment"). The total investment of the project is 1 billion yuan, which is jointly invested by Shenneng Group and Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group. According to the plan, the first phase of the project will cover an area of 100 acres and construct an 8 to 15 MW offshore wind turbine production line, forming an annual production capacity of 150 to 200 sets of offshore wind turbines, which can meet an installed capacity of approximately 2.5 million kilowatts. The second phase will construct a supply chain for wind turbines, such as blades, gearboxes, motors, offshore wind power construction, and operation and maintenance base at the home port. Yangpu Shenneng Equipment directly serves the Shenneng Hainan 1.2 million kilowatt offshore wind power demonstration project. It is understood that this demonstration project, which was approved last October, is located in the northwest sea area of Danzhou City, with a total investment of about 15 billion yuan, a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, and two 220 kV offshore booster stations and an onshore centralized control center. Among them, the onshore centralized control center held a groundbreaking ceremony in November last year. For the offshore part, the sea use procedures are currently being processed. After the sea use approval is completed, offshore construction can begin. A huge wind turbine host for the Yangpu Shenneng Electric Wind Power Project. Wang Xiaobin took a photo of the Yangpu Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park under construction, which was jointly constructed by China Datang, Dongfang Electric and Power Construction Corporation of China. The park is committed to the manufacturing, export, and demonstration application of offshore wind power equipment, as well as the investment and development of high-end industries such as wind power, hydrogen energy, marine ranching, and comprehensive energy. Lin Qingsong, Deputy General Manager of Yangpu Offshore Wind Power Industry Development Co., Ltd., said that the construction of the pile foundation project will be completed soon. "It is expected to achieve completion acceptance in September this year and reach production capacity in October." Lin Qingsong introduced that the total investment of Yangpu Offshore Wind Power Industry Park is 4.8 billion yuan, and the expected annual output value after completion and investment can reach 12.4 billion yuan. The industrial park is only 5 kilometers away from the nearest dock, and the transportation conditions for wind power equipment are very convenient, "said Lin Qingsong. Overrun wind power equipment has extremely high requirements for transportation conditions, and Yangpu's good port conditions facilitate the entry and exit of large wind power equipment. Yangpu is building an international shipping hub for the western land sea new channel, and the future industrial park will also be built into an export-oriented high-end manufacturing industry cluster. Enterprises have started exporting wind power based on the advantages of Yangpu's port. In October last year, the offshore high-end equipment manufacturing and export base project invested and constructed by Jiangsu Haili Wind Power Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiangsu Haili Wind Power") settled in Yangpu. The first phase of this base mainly includes the construction of large MW offshore wind power towers, while the second phase mainly includes the construction of large MW offshore single piles, jackets, large modular booster stations, deep sea floating foundations, and marine fishing and animal husbandry intelligence
