Recently, the on-site experience exchange meeting of national infant care service demonstration cities hosted by the National Health Commission was held in Jining City, Shandong Province. The reporter learned from the meeting that in recent years, Jining has improved the inclusive and safe childcare service system and launched the characteristic service brand of "children have education". As of now, there are 787 childcare service institutions, with 36700 childcare facilities for infants and young children, and 4.3 childcare facilities for infants and young children under the age of 3 per thousand people. The admission rate of infants and young children and the utilization rate of nursing positions reached 13.5% and 60.1%, respectively. In the first half of this year, Jining was successfully selected as one of the first batch of demonstration cities for infant and child care services in China. Focusing on childcare services, Jining has issued 28 policies and measures in ten categories, including financial support, planning and construction, inclusive fees, talent training, and enterprise assistance, and formulated 12 supporting documents. Include infant and child care services in the city's 2022 and 2023 private practical projects, with a total budget of over 70 million yuan allocated by the city and county finance for the construction, operation subsidies, and demonstration awards of childcare institutions. The policy standards for childcare institutions were first introduced in the province, providing standard support for creating a "high-quality, standardized, diverse and inclusive" childcare service system. Taking the lead in formulating affordable inclusive fee standards (2100 yuan/month/person for infant classes and 1700 yuan/month/person for other classes), reducing the economic pressure on families with "two children" and "three children".
