On the 27th, the 2023 China International Network Literature Week, co hosted by the Chinese Writers Association, Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, and Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, opened in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Nearly 300 well-known online writers, representatives of the online literature industry, experts, and readers from multiple regions around the world participated. The theme of the 2023 China International Network Literature Week is "Colorful and Wonderful World of Asia". At the opening ceremony, the Chinese Writers Association released the "Report on the Development of Chinese Online Literature in the Asian Region", summarizing the international dissemination and development of online literature, highlighting the current situation, development characteristics, and dissemination paths of online literature in various parts of Asia. The report points out that Chinese online literature has exported over 16000 online works overseas, with over 150 million overseas users, mainly covering North America and Asia. The Southeast Asian market accounts for about 40% of overseas broadcasts. Most overseas readers in the Asian region are under the age of 35, and the post-95s group is the main force of reading, accounting for more than half. At the opening ceremony, recognition was also given to online writers and online literature platforms who have made outstanding contributions to the international dissemination of online literature. It is reported that during the literary cycle, activities such as the International Communication Forum on Online Literature, the Symposium on Chinese Culture Going Global, the Online Literature Industry Expo, and the Coordination and Promotion Conference on International Communication of Online Literature will be held.
