The "China Science and Technology Summit @ Macau 2023", hosted by the Macau Special Administrative Region Government and the China Association for Science and Technology, was held in Macau on the 24th to discuss innovation driving the diversified development of Macau's economy. During his video speech, Zhang Guihua, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, stated that the purpose of hosting this summit is to gather talents, collide with wisdom, and build a platform, ideas, resources, and mechanisms for the moderate and diversified development of Macau's economy. The China Association for Science and Technology will continue to assist Macau in exploring innovative cooperation models that gather talents, establishing a focused organizational ecological mechanism, and expanding channels for deep integration of technology and economy through factor aggregation. Dai Jianye, Director of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, delivered a speech stating that Macau is currently using the "1+4" industrial layout as the core strategy to promote moderate and diversified economic development, with high-tech being an important part. I hope that this summit will inject new impetus and opportunities into the technology industry in Macau, promote the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the cultivation of a fertile soil for technological innovation in the Greater Bay Area. The sponsor invited the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and local experts and scholars in Macao to deliver keynote reports such as Big Data Driven Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine, and the Whole Chain from Original Scientific Discovery to Industrial Cluster. Participating experts and scholars engaged in a dialogue on "stimulating the vitality of technological innovation and empowering the construction of the Greater Bay Area".
