Compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries, condensed state batteries have a higher battery energy density, with a value of up to 500Wh/kg, which is 42% higher than the current theoretical upper limit of energy density (350Wh/kg) for liquid lithium-ion batteries. Energy density is the core technical indicator of power batteries. It is understood that 500Wh/kg is not yet the upper limit of energy density for condensed state batteries. With the advancement of technology, higher energy density may be achieved in the future. In terms of safety, if the liquid electrolyte leaks, the flowing liquid electrolyte may cause a wider range of short circuits, generate high-voltage arc, and cause battery combustion and explosion. The network structure of condensed battery connected with internal polymer can be adjusted adaptively to ensure structural stability and better thermal stability. The possibility of mass production this year depends on different positive and negative electrode materials, and the energy density of condensed state batteries also varies.
