On May 18th, at the themed press conference of the "Opening of Authoritative Department Talks" series held by the State Administration for Reform and Reform, Hu Jinglin, Director of the National Medical Security Bureau, and relevant officials introduced the situation of "implementing the major decisions and deployments of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and focusing on promoting high-quality development of medical insurance". Hu Jinglin stated that universal participation in insurance is a fundamental and comprehensive work for the development of the medical insurance industry. "Since the establishment of the National Medical Insurance Bureau, it has always attached great importance to the work of universal participation, continuously promoting the expansion and improvement of insurance coverage by improving policies, optimizing services, connecting systems, and consolidating responsibilities. In recent years, the basic medical insurance coverage rate in China has remained stable at over 95%. By the end of last year, the number of basic medical insurance participants in China had reached 1345.92 million, including 362.43 million employees and 983.49 million residents, "said Shi Zihai, Deputy Director of the National Medical Security Bureau. Shi Zihai stated that in order to implement the requirements of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China for "covering the whole people" and "expanding social insurance coverage", four areas of work will be focused on: improving the accuracy of insurance coverage through data comparison. We will establish and improve a data sharing mechanism with relevant departments, strengthen data comparison, improve the insured database that covers the entire population, and achieve real-time dynamic query of insured information. At the same time, a nationwide unified medical insurance information system was established last year, which will rely on this platform to expand the comparison of insured data from within the province to the whole country, screen out the information of individuals who have lost or missed insurance coverage, and promote precise expansion in each province on the basis of eliminating duplicate insurance coverage. ——Improve the targeted coverage of insurance through departmental linkage. Establish a communication and collaboration mechanism with the education department to further improve the enrollment rate of college students; Strengthen cooperation with the health department, make good use of the "one thing at birth" mechanism, and ensure that newborns can participate in insurance in a timely manner. At the same time, we will further improve the insurance coverage for migrant workers and migrant workers. ——By optimizing services, we aim to improve the convenience of participating in insurance expansion. Strengthen cooperation with tax departments, actively promote the online "one network connection" and offline "one office joint handling" of insurance and payment business, provide "one-stop" services for insured personnel, and facilitate the participation and payment of insurance by the masses. ——By improving policies, we aim to enhance the long-term effectiveness of participating in insurance expansion. We will further improve the individual payment mechanism for residents' medical insurance, promote more employment personnel to participate in insurance in their medical and permanent residences, provide services to support orderly population flow, and continue to promote high-quality development of universal insurance. Benefiting the people and meeting the needs of the public for medication and medical treatment, the management of medical insurance drug catalogs has always been widely concerned by all sectors of society. According to statistics, the current version of the National Medical Insurance Drug Catalogue has a total of 2967 types, covering all fields of clinical treatment. The clinical medication security needs of the vast number of insured patients have been better met. Li Tao, Deputy Director of the National Medical Security Administration, introduced: Since its establishment, the National Medical Insurance Administration has adhered to the positioning of 'basic insurance', continuously optimized the list of medical insurance drugs, and significantly improved the level of medication security for the public. This is mainly reflected in the following aspects: first, the medical insurance list has achieved 'one adjustment per year', and new drugs are more quickly benefiting patients; second, the number of drugs in the list has significantly increased, and the scope of protection is constantly expanding; third, we will pay close attention to the landing and implementation of listed drugs
