Low risk in global assessment of new strains discovered in multiple countries

According to foreign media reports, the COVID-19 variant XBB.1.16 is spreading in many countries. XBB.1.16 is a recombinant strain of COVID-19 Omikron, belonging to the XBB family, and is a mixture of two different BA.2 strains.
