The establishment of the Hengqin International Arbitration Center is conducive to exploring specific measures for connecting civil and commercial legal systems with Macau and international standards, and providing convenience for parties to independently choose arbitration institutions in Hengqin or Macau to resolve disputes in the cooperation zone. The Hengqin International Commercial Mediation Center is conducive to improving diversified commercial dispute resolution mechanisms such as international commercial trials, arbitration, and mediation in Qinhuangdao and Macao, and creating a market-oriented, internationalized, and legalized high-quality business environment. Hengqin International Arbitration Center is the first commercial arbitration institution in mainland China to achieve separation and orderly connection of decision-making, execution, and supervision. It has a complete modern corporate governance structure and has achieved modernization of a comprehensive governance system. Independently arbitrate contract disputes and other property rights disputes between citizens, legal persons, and other organizations that are equal subjects both domestically and internationally in accordance with the law. The Mediation Center is staffed by professional mediators from both domestic and international sources who provide professional international mediation services in accordance with the center's mediation rules and case management system, with reference to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation and international legal rules. They maintain a neutral position, comprehensively balance the interests of all parties, assist relevant parties involved in disputes, and resolve international commercial disputes and disputes through mediation.
