Cancer Prevention and Control Promotion Week | Stay Away from Cancer and Vigorously Promote Source Based Prevention and Control

2023-04-17

April 15th to 21st is the 29th National Cancer Prevention and Control Awareness Week in China. When it comes to cancer, many people are afraid. As a type of cancer, colon cancer poses great harm to the human body and requires vigilance against danger signals. Professor Cui Yunlong, director of the National Medical Micro ecological engineering Research Center, vice chairman of the China Micro ecological Special Committee, and deputy leader of the Shandong Province Micro ecological Clinical Cancer Research Expert Group, pointed out that intestinal cancer should be prevented and controlled from the source in order to prevent it before it happens and stay away from it. Why is Professor Cui Yunlong, Director of the National Medical Micro ecological engineering Research Center, Vice Chairman of the China Micro ecological Special Committee, and Deputy Leader of the Shandong Province Micro ecological Clinical Cancer Research Expert Group, living standards are getting higher and higher, but the number of intestinal cancer cases is surging year by year? Cui Yunlong said that this indicates that the root cause of the high incidence of colon cancer and effective prevention and control measures have not been found yet. For many years, the prevention and control measures for colon cancer that have been vigorously advocated and promoted include colonoscopy and polypectomy, genetic and fecal early screening, and reducing the age of early screening. These measures have indeed played a certain role, but they have not fundamentally changed the current situation of high incidence of colon cancer. Cui Yunlong introduced that research in the international medical community has found that there are two main reasons for the occurrence of colon cancer: genetic susceptibility (abnormality) or problems with the intestinal environment. The results of intestinal microecology research at home and abroad have confirmed that imbalance of intestinal flora, lack of tyrosine producing bacteria, and large amounts of toxins produced by harmful bacteria such as Bacteroides fragilis and pathogenic Escherichia coli are important incentives to induce inflammation, polyposis and canceration into intestinal cancer. These new discoveries point the way to decipher the causes of colon cancer. When did the prevention and control of the source of colorectal cancer in the earlier stages start, and how did they be implemented? Cui Yunlong said that the source prevention and control of intestinal cancer should start from the neglected irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with abdominal pain and diarrhea in the face of cold and hot wine and the Etiological treatment of chronic diarrhea, from ulcerative colitis and Krohn's disease to use microecological agents to improve the internal environment of the intestine while anti-inflammatory treatment, and from chronic constipation to stop abusing anthraquinone laxative products. According to Cui Yunlong, tyrosine is an important nutrient for the regeneration and repair of intestinal mucosa. If lacking, it can not only cause nutritional disorders in the intestinal mucosa, but also lead to delayed repair of inflamed intestinal mucosa damaged by harmful bacteria, resulting in excessive expression of inflammatory factors and serotonin, abnormal brain gut microbiota axis, and intestinal dysfunction. Oversensitivity to cold, cold, spicy, and other stimuli can lead to abdominal pain and diarrhea, and if left untreated, it can worsen into colon cancer. Therefore, efforts should be made to popularize and carry out source based prevention and control in order to prevent and stay away from colon cancer. Cui Yunlong stated that based on research on intestinal microbiota imbalance and intestinal diseases, the innovation team of Donghai Pharmaceutical, with the support of the National 863 Project, has developed new microecological drugs such as Ataining and Baole'an that can supplement tyrosine bacteria. Professor Huang Xi and Professor Yu Jun also pointed out in their article "The gut microbiota in colorectal cancer (from mechanism to clinical application)" published in Nature Reviews that "butyrate (butyrate) salts, as an anti-inflammatory molecule, can inhibit histone deacetylase in colon epithelial cells and immune cells, downregulate pro-inflammatory cytokines, and induce CRC cell apoptosis. In addition, butyrate and propionate have been proven to regulate colon cancer
