The formation of remote control production capacity in the ultra-deep water atmospheric field of "Deep Sea No.1"

2023-04-11

China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced on the 10th that the "Deep Sea No.1" ultra deep water atmospheric field has completed remote control production transformation and debugging work, and has the ability to maintain continuous safe and stable production during typhoons, becoming the world's first ultra large deep water semi submersible production and storage platform with remote control production capacity. Liu Xiaogang, General Manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation Hainan Branch, said that the "Deepsea No.1" atmospheric field is located in the southeast sea area of Hainan Island, with a maximum operating depth of over 1500 meters. It operates the world's first 100000 ton deep water semi submersible production and storage platform, the "Deepsea No.1" energy station, designed and built independently by China, with an annual gas production capacity of 3 billion cubic meters. Since its production in June 2021, the gas field has produced a total of over 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas and exported over 450000 cubic meters of condensate. We have independently established a complete set of ultra-deep water gas field operation and maintenance technology systems, solving a number of production and operation problems of ultra-deep water gas fields, and creating a development model of quickly reaching production and maintaining high and stable production after the ultra-deep water gas field is put into operation. At present, the production equipment of 'Deep Sea No.1' has been carefully debugged and has reached its optimal operating state. The biggest challenge for stable production of the gas field is the frequent typhoon weather in summer and autumn. Liu Xiaogang said that after the formation of remote production capacity, 'Deep Sea No.1' can also maintain the operation of oil and gas extraction equipment during typhoons. There have been no successful cases of remote production of typhoon weather on deep water semi submersible platforms internationally. (Outlook New Era Network)
