Chasing dreams for thirty years and looking at the world today

2023-02-27

On February 24, "Chasing the Dream and Asking the Sky", the 30-year achievement exhibition of China's manned space project, was opened in the National Museum of China, which comprehensively and systematically displayed the 30-year development process and construction achievements of China's manned space project to the public. On September 21, 1992, China's manned space project was officially approved for implementation; From blueprint drawing to striving to realize the dream, several generations of Chinese astronauts have added another milestone to the journey of building a powerful aerospace country and climbing the scientific and technological peak, and have written a magnificent chapter in the vast universe to lift the Chinese dream with the aerospace dream. The era of a space station belonging to China's space industry has come. [Three steps] Independent research and development continues to speed up. "Follow others and go through all the procedures, so we will always be behind." said academician Wang Yongzhi, the first chief designer of China's manned space project. In 1992, China's manned space project was officially approved and implemented, and the "three-step" development strategy was planned. From 1992 to 2002, it took 10 years to complete four unmanned missions of Shenzhou I to IV, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of the first manned mission. From 2003 to 2012, it took nearly 10 years to carry out the four manned flights of Shenzhou 5, 6, 7 and 9, and the rendezvous and docking missions of Shenzhou 8 and Tiangong 1, successively breaking through and mastering the key technologies of space shuttle, space exit, rendezvous and docking, and leaping over the development process of nearly half a century in developed countries. In the new era, Chinese astronauts continue to dream of space. After the Shenzhou 10 mission in 2013, from June 2016 to April 2017, the four missions of Long March 7, Tiangong 2, Shenzhou 11, and Tianzhou 1 were carried out intensively to assess the green, non-toxic, and low-pollution new rockets, launch the ecological, environmental protection, and open new launch site, build China's first real space laboratory, and break through and master the key technologies such as the medium-term stay of astronauts, space station cargo transportation, and propellant replenishment in orbit, The second step of the manned space project ended successfully. In May 2020, the first flight of the Long March 5B carrier rocket was successful, marking the beginning of the space station phase mission. From the launch of the Tianhe core module in April 2021 to the return of Shenzhou XIV on December 4, 2022, China's manned space flight has intensively implemented 11 launches, 3 spacecraft returns, 2 segment transfers, 7 astronauts out of the cabin in 20 months, 12 astronauts in four flight crews have continued to stay in orbit, and the crew has completed the first on orbit rotation, breaking through the mastery of eight key technologies, including long-term on orbit stay of astronauts, assembly and construction of the space station, and completed the space station on schedule, It has set the fastest record for the assembly and construction of space stations in the world's space history and exceeded the "acceleration" of China's space industry. The manned space project has successively made breakthroughs in mastering a large number of core and key technologies with independent intellectual property rights, and explored innovative solutions such as "three vertical and one far" test launch, and direct orbital entry of a stage and a half configuration rocket; It has independently developed Type 8 aircraft and Type 3 rocket, and the cargo weight ratio of cargo spacecraft ranks first in the world; Creative design can
