On February 25, the strategic communication project of important vaccine-related topics of Peking University held a seminar on "prevention first - the key to practicing healthy aging", and invited experts in relevant fields to share how to deal with the aging problem. Experts at the meeting believed that coping with the aging trend, prevention first and improving the health level of the elderly are the key to achieving healthy aging. In the face of the threat of aging, the experts at the meeting gave specific policy recommendations from the construction of public health system, the development of general practice medicine, the improvement of vaccination level, and the improvement of medical security system. Zhao Yaohui, a distinguished professor of Boya at Peking University and a professor of the National Institute of Development at Peking University, believes that, "The key to actively respond to the aging of the population is to achieve healthy aging, that is, to reach the state that the healthy life of a person is about equal to the life of a person. In addition, the current serious fragmentation of medical insurance is not conducive to the sharing of risks in various regions, and it is urgent to break the regional boundaries of fragmentation and establish a nationwide integrated medical insurance system. Yang Gonghuan, former deputy director of the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, introduced that first of all, we should pay attention to infectious diseases and various chronic diseases that affect the health of the elderly Long-term and continuous monitoring of disease and injury, community health intervention, elderly health status and other data; Secondly, the monitoring data should be analyzed through evaluation. She stressed that monitoring must link information feedback with intervention and planning, otherwise it will lose its significance. Wu Hao, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the School of General Medicine and Continuing Education of Capital Medical University, gave a specific path to implement healthy aging: to play the role of general practitioners and promote the integration of medical care and prevention. Wu Hao said that the integration of medical treatment and prevention is the combination of treatment and prevention, that is, medical treatment and prevention infiltrate into each other and integrate into one. Through the effective connection of medical service and prevention service, the occurrence of health problems can be minimized. In addition to common chronic diseases, infectious diseases are like "invisible killers" lurking in the dark for the elderly, especially those with basic diseases. Du Xueping, a professor of Fuxing Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, said that infectious diseases, such as pneumonia, influenza, herpes zoster, have high incidence rate and mortality among the elderly, which seriously affect the quality of life of the elderly and cause heavy economic burden, and have become one of the major global public health problems. Taking herpes zoster as an example, the incidence rate of herpes zoster has increased significantly after the age of 50, and can aggravate the original chronic disease, affect sleep, mood and mental state, and seriously threaten the health of the elderly. Du Xueping believes that in order to prevent infectious diseases for the elderly, in addition to paying attention to a balanced diet, exercising and maintaining a good lifestyle, vaccination is the most direct and effective way to protect the health of the elderly. Du Xueping said that vaccination can slow down the progress of chronic diseases in the elderly and reduce the risk of adverse outcomes caused by chronic complications by preventing infection. In addition, vaccination is also an important measure to reduce medical resources and improve the health level of the elderly. (Xinhua News Agency)
