Legal Weekly: In recent years, what have Shantou courts done to promote the diversified settlement of disputes involving overseas Chinese? Wan Yunfeng: Shantou courts have been exploring new models of diversified settlement of disputes involving overseas Chinese, making every effort to build a new pattern of "in-court and out-of-court linkage mediation, online and offline multiple co-governance", and exploring the optimal solution of disputes involving overseas Chinese. First, we will work with the Shantou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese to jointly carry out the diversified settlement of disputes involving overseas Chinese, create a linkage joint mediation platform, select "skilled artisans" who are good at trial business and good at mediation work from the court, and form a mediation team with specially invited mediators who are familiar with overseas Chinese affairs and experienced in overseas Chinese enterprises, and integrate mediation resources. Second, set up a docking studio for litigation and mediation of disputes involving overseas Chinese in the city's courts' pre litigation mediation center, optimize the mediation procedures before and during litigation, and open green channels such as litigation and mediation conversion, judicial confirmation of mediation agreements, etc. The third is to fully realize the "cloud trial" mode of overseas Chinese cases, and strive to build an information fusion platform integrating online mediation, online trial, online judicial confirmation, electronic delivery and litigation and mediation docking, to provide overseas Chinese with online judicial services with lower cost, faster speed, easier operation and more standardized process. Shantou courts have actively integrated into the development pattern of overseas Chinese townships, focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of trials of commercial cases involving overseas Chinese from three aspects: first, strengthen the strength of commercial trials involving overseas Chinese, and establish the overseas Chinese trial collegiate bench in the courts of the whole city to realize the "centralized trial of cases involving overseas Chinese, centralized trial management, professional handling of judges, and unified judgment scale".
