China and ASEAN countries respect each other and help each other. The China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership has a good momentum of development and has set a model of win-win regional cooperation. At present, the world economic recovery is weak, the geopolitical situation is tense, the issues of inflation, food and energy security are complex and severe, and global development faces many challenges. In the face of the changing and intertwined international situation, China and ASEAN countries respect each other and help each other. The China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership has a good momentum of development and set a model of win-win regional cooperation. The China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership action plan (2022-2025) has been reached, and the all-round cooperation has yielded fruitful results, and is firmly moving forward towards the "Five Homelands" of peace, tranquility, prosperity, beauty and friendship. Jointly build a peaceful homeland and maintain regional security and stability. China adheres to the diplomatic policy of friendship, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, friendship and partnership with its neighbors, and deepens friendship, mutual trust and interest integration with its neighbors. China has put forward a global security initiative to firmly safeguard the central position of ASEAN in the regional structure, and reiterated its willingness to sign the protocol to the Treaty on the South-East Asia Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone as soon as possible, which is appreciated and welcomed by ASEAN countries. Both China and ASEAN advocate maintaining open regionalism and multilateralism, and both support strengthening cooperation under multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations. The two sides adhere to harmonious coexistence and equal treatment, resolve differences through consultation and dialogue, deepen political mutual trust, and inject more positive energy into regional security and stability. We will jointly build a peaceful home and ensure long-term peace and stability in the region. The two sides issued a joint statement to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, promoted consultations on the "Code of Conduct in the South China Sea", and continued to demonstrate their common desire and firm determination to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea. The defense ministers of the two sides have maintained communication, and the military forces of the two sides have expanded dialogue, exchanges and practical cooperation in the field of defense and security, and effectively shoulder the common responsibility of maintaining regional security. The two sides further promoted cooperation in responding to the COVID-19 and post epidemic recovery. China continued to provide vaccine assistance to Cambodia, Myanmar and other countries, promoted cooperation in the whole vaccine industry chain and drug research and development with Indonesia, and helped ASEAN strengthen the construction of grass-roots public health systems and personnel training. The two sides also further deepened cooperation in combating transnational crime, disaster prevention and mitigation. We will jointly build a prosperous homeland and maintain a strong momentum of development. In 2022, China and ASEAN will become the largest trading partners of each other, and the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides will be closer. The import and export scale will reach 6.52 trillion yuan, up 15% year on year. ASEAN countries have actively responded to China's global development initiative and supported the docking and cooperation of relevant ASEAN initiatives. The two sides worked together to promote the high-quality implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, jointly announced the official launch of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 negotiations, and worked to build a more inclusive, modern, comprehensive and mutually beneficial China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
