Consumption grew steadily during the Spring Festival holiday, travel and tourism recovered rapidly

According to the VAT invoice data of the State Administration of Taxation, during the Spring Festival holiday this year, the sales revenue of the national consumption-related industries increased by 12.2% (hereinafter referred to as "year-on-year growth") compared with that of the Spring Festival holiday last year, with an average annual growth of 12.4% compared with that of the Spring Festival holiday in 2019, and the overall growth trend remained stable. Among them, the consumption of goods and services increased by 10% and 13.5% year on year, 13.1% and 8.1% year on year compared with the Spring Festival holiday in 2019. The consumption of necessities of life, household upgrading goods, tourism services and other consumption increased rapidly, and the return home holiday led to a higher growth of consumption in the province of labor and industry. The consumption of daily necessities maintained steady growth. During the Spring Festival holiday, the sales revenue of basic living commodities such as grain, oil and food increased by 31.5% year on year, of which, fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry, eggs and milk increased by 39% and 28.6% year on year, respectively, 17.2% and 13.2% year on year compared with the Spring Festival holiday in 2019. There is a strong demand for drinks and other commodities. The sales revenue of wine, beverages and tea increased by 18.7% year on year and 16.4% year on year compared with the 2019 Spring Festival holiday. The consumption of household upgrading goods increased rapidly. During the Spring Festival holiday, the sales revenue of furniture, hardware and sporting goods increased by 15.2%, 8.6% and 20.9% respectively year on year, 9.9%, 19.4% and 17% respectively compared with the 2019 Spring Festival holiday. The recovery of tourism and accommodation services was accelerated. During the Spring Festival holiday, the sales revenue of travel agencies and related services increased 1.3 times year-on-year, and has recovered to 80.7% of the 2019 Spring Festival holiday. The sales revenue of tourist hotels and economic chain hotels increased by 16.4% and 30.6% respectively year on year, and recovered to 73.4% and 79.9% of the 2019 Spring Festival holiday respectively. The personalized service provided by home stay service was welcomed by tourists, and the sales revenue increased by 74.2% year on year, 13.3% year on year compared with the 2019 Spring Festival holiday.
