2023-01-16

On January 15, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway from Futian, Shenzhen to West Kowloon, Hong Kong, which had been suspended for nearly three years due to the epidemic, resumed operation. With the full resumption of customs clearance between Hong Kong and the mainland, the phenomenon of Hong Kong citizens returning to the mainland for New Year's goods has become "hot" again. Specialties, baked goods, pastries, Spring Festival couplets, spring waving, "blessing"...... Bargaining, Hong Kong people incarnate smart "teacher milk", busy scanning the code, busy paying, buying goods, but also a feeling of happiness. Many Hong Kong people bring home the specialties of mainland cities in the Bay Area to share delicious food with their relatives and friends. Shenzhen also recently held the Spring Festival Flower Market, and set up shuttle buses to pass through Aiguo Road Flower Market and five major business districts, and placed huge signs to welcome Hong Kong people to visit the mainland for New Year's goods. At the Futian high-speed railway station on January 15, as soon as Ms. Feng, a Hong Kong resident, and her three-year-old baby came out of the gate, the staff of the station rushed forward to carry her suitcase and take photos for her and her baby in front of the huge welcome sign. "It was not convenient to take such a large box with the baby, but I was prepared and had my own thoughts." It turned out that Ms. Feng's box contained all the Hong Kong goods that were to be sent to relatives and friends in the mainland in Shenzhen. After the goods were sent, the box was empty, just convenient for me to purchase New Year goods in Shenzhen. Shuttle buses take me around five major business districts. "I love spicy food. This time I'm going to buy more spicy duck necks, spicy crayfish, spicy dried bean curd and other snacks to take back to Hong Kong for the New Year's Eve." Ms. Feng smiled slyly, as if returning to her childhood. Mr. Fan, a native of Chaoshan, has not returned to Chaoshan for more than a year. This time, he took the early bus from West Kowloon to Futian to visit Shenzhen, feel the changes in Shenzhen, taste the delicious food in Shenzhen, and bring some New Year goods back to Hong Kong. "There are countless Chaoshan delicacies, such as fried oysters, Chaoshan rice noodles, beef ball rice noodle soup, glutinous rice with pig intestines, red peach rice, Chaoshan bean paste... I have to leave my mouth watering when I think of them." Mr. Fan plans to go to Huangbeiling, Luohu District to taste the authentic Chaoshan delicacies first, and then buy some beef balls, fish balls and other New Year products back to Hong Kong, and distribute them to relatives who cannot return to Guangdong for the New Year. In addition to buying food, on the eve of the Spring Festival, it is also common for Hong Kong people in the Mainland to purchase New Year decorations. At the 2023 Spring Festival Flower Market in Shenzhen, which opened on the 15th, the main venue more than 500 meters away from the Futian high-speed railway station also attracted the attention of many Hong Kong people. An elderly Hong Kong grandpa lingered in front of the rose shop. "It's beautiful. I can't bring the plants back to Hong Kong, but I can buy some and put them in my home in Shenzhen to add joy," he told reporters. During the flower market, the shuttle bus is specially set up in Luohu, passing through Aiguo Road Flower Market and five core commercial blocks, including East Gate, Caiwuwei and Sungang. A huge sign is also set up at the site to welcome Hong Kong people. Hong Kong cross-border e-commerce hopes to promote the mainland's good goods. Zhang Sicong came to Foshan and Shenzhen several years ago to start a cross-border e-commerce business. After the outbreak of the epidemic, he returned to Hong Kong less often and spent less time with his elders. In the past three years, when grandpa died in Hong Kong, he could not accompany the old man. On important holidays, he often stayed in the mainland because of the inconvenience of customs clearance. "There are too many regrets, but now customs clearance is gradually returning to normal." Zhang Sicong revealed that he had been in any one of the mainland in previous years
