Source: In recent years, the "culture and museum craze" has swept the land of China. In the vast countryside, rural museums have flourished and become eye-catching cultural landscapes. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to comprehensively promote rural revitalization. As the carrier of rural history and culture, the rural museum plays an important role in inheriting the rural context, enhancing cultural confidence, promoting the integration of culture and tourism, and is a cultural force that cannot be ignored in the upsurge of rural revitalization. Taking root in the countryside and preserving cultural memory, we entered Donghong Village, Lile Street, Jianghai District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, and saw many antique buildings. In the village with an area of 2.2 square kilometers, there are 8 village museums. Rice husking machines, fishing boats, spinning wheels, kerosene lamps... The old objects in the museum show the local farming culture and traditional folk customs. Donghong Village has a long history. The original appearance of the village is well preserved. There are more than 600 ancient dwellings with a history of more than 100 years. In the "three cleanings, three dismantlements and three rectifications" campaign carried out in 2018, Donghong Village repaired and restored more than 560 ancient folk houses, maintained their original pattern, and built eight distinctive rural museums, including "folk dowry", "bamboo furniture" and "dragon boat culture", in order to promote protection by using them. Most of the exhibits in the museum are farm tools, old furniture, daily necessities, etc. cleared by villagers during the "three cleanings, three demolitions, and three rectifications". These old objects are "turned into treasures" in the village museum, as the witness of the village history and folk customs, so that people remember nostalgia. On the east side of the East Garden of the scenic Chaoshan Scenic Area in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, three Anhui style old houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties stood quietly. This is the Jiangnan Cake Art Museum, which was included in the list of the first rural museums in Zhejiang Province this year. This is a museum specializing in the collection of cake making molds, with a collection of more than 6000 pieces. In addition to the common wooden cake version, there are porcelain cake version and stone cake version in the Southern Tang Dynasty. The exhibition in the museum tells about the close relationship between the cake version and local customs, the development and changes of the cake version, and the cake version culture in different regions. There are two experience classrooms on the second floor of the museum, where visitors can experience making cakes. On important traditional festivals such as the Mid Autumn Festival and the Double Ninth Festival, the museum will hold activities to make cakes with traditional cakes. In addition, Jiangnan Cake Art Museum has also set up a branch in Tangqi No. 1 Primary School to customize a series of cake culture courses, and train small lecturers, so that children can understand the folk customs of Jiangnan Watertown and feel the charm of cake culture. "As a public cultural facility in the countryside, the village museum connects the common memory of different strata and different groups of people in the countryside and forms a rural cultural community." Hou Xiaolei, a professor of the School of Architecture of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, told our reporter that "rural museums emphasize more on the" people-oriented "concept, emphasizing the shift from cultural relics protection to the development and utilization of cultural resources, encouraging multiple subjects to participate in cultural protection practices, and highlighting the museum's experience function and the living inheritance of folk culture."
