Ni Yongfu: Guarantee the "tip of the tongue safety" of common people with detection technology

In 2011, the Weishan Lake shrimp, a special aquatic product exported from Jining City, Shandong Province, was detected as a furacilin metabolite. Exporting enterprises are believed to have used banned drugs in the process of raising small shrimps, which has seriously affected the export of products. "No, there should be no such test results." Ni Yongfu, after learning this, voluntarily gave up the weekend break, prepared samples of small shrimps taken from the record base for several times, and repeatedly conducted experimental studies on shrimp heads, shells, and meat. The results showed that the metabolites of furacilin could be detected in the shrimp without using any nitrofuran drugs. Among them, the shrimp shell content is the highest, followed by the shrimp head, and the shrimp meat content is the lowest. What is the problem? After repeated thinking and consulting data, Ni Yongfu concluded that the furacilin metabolite is endogenous, that is, the shrimp itself can produce the furacilin metabolite. It is not objective to simply determine the use of prohibited drugs based on the detection results of furacilin metabolites during the detection process. Ni Yongfu's experimental results and thinking are confirmed by relevant literature. At Ni Yongfu's suggestion, the relevant enterprises immediately contacted the foreign importers and corrected the misjudgment. After the problem is solved, the export volume of local small shrimps increases year by year, and the operating income in peak period can reach 4 million yuan per year. Since 2014, Ni Yongfu has unblocked the detection road for "Jinxiang Garlic". Jinxiang garlic has the advantages of big garlic, pure hot taste, anti mildew, etc. It is the fist characteristic agricultural product of Jining City. Jinxiang garlic export volume accounts for about half of the total garlic export volume of Jinxiang in Jining every year. Jinxiang garlic has become an important source of income increase for local farmers. The export volume is large, and the inspection demand is also large. Ni Yongfu's laboratory tests nearly 2000 batches of garlic samples in Jinxiang every year, involving more than 20,000 items. Ni Yongfu said: "Quality is the life of products, and time is the benefit of enterprises. The testing of our laboratory is an important guarantee for the quality and safety of agricultural products exported, and we should seize every minute to speed up." He decided to find the "best combination point" of speed and quality. Pesticide residue detection is an important part of garlic quality detection. If the efficiency of pesticide residue detection is improved, the detection time of garlic will naturally be shortened.
