Shenzhou 15 is scheduled to launch on the 29th

2022-11-29

On the morning of November 28, at the press conference of the Shenzhou XV manned mission held at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Ji Qiming, the spokesman of the China Manned Space Program and the assistant director of the China Manned Space Program Office, announced that the Shenzhou XV manned spacecraft would be launched at 23:08 Beijing time on November 29 after the mission headquarters had studied and decided. This mission is the sixth mission of the manned space program this year and the last mission in the space station construction phase. The astronaut crew will work and live in orbit for six months. According to the plan, after Shenzhou XV manned spacecraft is put into orbit, it will adopt the autonomous fast rendezvous and docking mode to dock with the forward port of Tianhe core module to form a three cabin and three ship combination, which is the largest configuration of China's space station at present, with a total mass of nearly 100 tons. At present, the space station assembly status and various equipment are working normally, and the conditions for rendezvous and docking and crew rotation are available. The product quality of Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft and Long March 2F remote 15 carrier rocket is under control. The crew of Shenzhou 15 astronauts are in good condition. The ground system facilities and equipment operate stably. All preparations have been basically completed before launch. It is reported that the first on orbit rotation of the astronaut crew will be realized. The crew is composed of Fei Junlong, Deng Qingming and Zhang Lu, with Fei Junlong as the commander. Astronaut Fei Junlong has participated in the Shenzhou VI manned flight mission. Deng Qingming and Zhang Lu are both flying for the first time. At present, the Long March 2F Remote 15 rocket carrying out this launch mission is about to start propellant filling. It is worth mentioning that this mission will realize the first on orbit rotation of the crew of astronauts, ushering in the historical moment of simultaneous on orbit flight of six Chinese astronauts. Ji Qiming introduced that the Shenzhou XV mission is the last leg in the construction stage of China's space station and the first leg in the application and development stage of the space station, which plays an important role in connecting the past and the future. During the mission, the team will focus on six aspects of work. First, carry out long-term resident verification of the third cabin status of the space station; Second, 15 science experiment cabinets were unlocked, installed and tested, and more than 40 space science experiments and technology experiments covering space science research and application, space medicine, space technology and other fields were carried out; The third is to carry out 3-4 extravehicular activities and complete the installation of Mengtian cabin expansion pump unit and load exposure platform equipment; Fourth, verify the working mode of cargo airlock cabin exit, and cooperate with the ground to complete six cargo exit tasks; Fifth, carry out normal platform testing, maintenance and station management; Sixth, carry out on track health protection exercise, on track training and drill, etc. During their stay in orbit, the crew of Shenzhou 15 will welcome the visit and docking of Tianzhou 6 cargo spaceship and Shenzhou 16 manned spaceship, and plan to return to the Dongfeng landing site in May next year. The crew of Shenzhou XIV astronauts is scheduled to return to Shenzhou XIV on June 5 this year after completing the on orbit rotation task within one week. The Shenzhou XIV manned spacecraft was launched into orbit. At present, the crew has been on orbit for 176 days. The Shenzhou XIV crew has a full on orbit mission arrangement, which can be said to be the "busiest crew" since the implementation of the space station mission. During the mission, the crew cooperated with the ground to complete the "T" basic configuration assembly of the space station
