The mountains are rolling, the tea gardens are lush, white flowers are blooming in green leaves, and the villagers are busy on the hillside... In early winter, Tunshang Village, Digua Town, Pu'an County, Guizhou Province is still vibrant. Four years ago, Huangdu Village, Anji County, Zhejiang Province donated the "White Leaf No.1" poverty alleviation tea seedlings to Tunshang Village. This year officially ushered in the first harvest season, and the story of "one leaf makes one people rich" is being continued here. "The tea garden has led us and the surrounding villages 691 households to increase the income of 2020 people out of poverty. Since 2020, the income of migrant workers has exceeded 11 million yuan." Looking at Manshan Tea Tree, Kong Lingjin, secretary of the Party branch of Tunshang Village, introduced. Taking the opportunity of receiving 2000 mu of white tea seedlings as a gift, Pu'an County has developed the tea industry according to local conditions. Now the total area of the tea garden has expanded to 183000 mu, including 13000 mu of "White Leaf No.1", and the comprehensive annual output value of tea is nearly 1.7 billion yuan. He arrived at the "White Leaf No.1" tea garden at 8 o'clock on time. Hundreds of villagers have gathered on the hillside. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, they will pay close attention to reseeding, weeding and fertilization. "The monthly income of migrant workers is two or three thousand yuan, which is much more than before!" Tan Huaai was a poor household in Tunshang Village four years ago. The husband is in poor health and needs to be taken care of. The two children are still at school. When the village proposed to develop a tea garden, Tan Huaai hesitated for a long time before transferring her 8 mu of sloping land. "At that time, she was worried that the tea garden would not develop and eating would become a problem." Tunshang Village is located in the hinterland of Wumeng Mountain, with the highest elevation of more than 1800 meters and the per capita arable land of only half an mu. The village has tried to develop some industries on the slope land, but due to the natural environment and traffic conditions, it is difficult for the village to produce and sell crops. The villagers went out to work one after another. The white tea seedlings from the mountains in the northwest of Zhejiang send hope for the small mountain village to become rich. After in-depth investigation, Tunshang Village has been recognized as the ideal planting area for white tea, and the county has proposed to plant 1500 mu of white tea here. In October 2018, the "White Leaf No.1" tea seedling, which spans 1900km, settled in Tunshang Village. A unique small building with the shape of leaves stands on the hillside, which is the reception center of the newly built tea garden. Downstairs, a red brick footpath leads to the distance, strolling in the tea garden, as if you were in a beautiful scenic spot. In order to plant "White Leaf No. 1" well, Pu'an County has specially formulated plans, including construction standards, tea garden management and protection
