The cultural exhibition "Taoism: Pursuing the Unity of Heaven and Man" was held at the Chinese Museum in Washington, US

Recently, the Taoism: Pursuing Harmony Between Human and Nature cultural exhibition jointly organized by the American Chinese Museum and the Shanghai Taoist Association opened in the American Chinese Museum in Washington, USA. More than 50 guests from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony of the cultural exhibition. Zhao Haisheng, a public councilor of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, saying: "Chinese culture originated from Taoism and continues to affect generations of Chinese at home and abroad." Susan Lee, a Maryland senator, said that culture is a bridge to build international awareness. The return to nature and humanity advocated by Taoism makes people understand and respect each other more. Shanghai Taoist Association has provided a large number of pictures related to Taoist belief, culture, scientific instruments, music, and palace buildings for the cultural exhibition. In order to let visitors feel the charm of ancient Taoist culture more intuitively, Shanghai Taoist Association also provided some objects for on-site exhibition, including Taoist vests, scientific instruments, immortal portraits, Taoist runes, calligraphy works, etc. All exhibits are designed to show the unique charm of Taoism culture from its origin, belief, culture, ceremony, music, architecture and other aspects, so that visitors can experience the broad and profound Chinese excellent traditional culture while enjoying Taoism culture. The Shanghai Taoist Association participated in the preparation of this exhibition, which aims to highlight China's policy of freedom of religious belief, spread the excellent traditional Chinese culture, promote the folk cultural exchanges between China and the United States and enhance mutual understanding through the display of Taoist culture in the new era.
