He Yicheng said that the Committee plays an important role in the professional evaluation and decision-making of Chinese patent medicines, and is the cornerstone for the registration of Chinese patent medicines and the steady development of Macao's traditional Chinese medicine industry. It is believed that under the leadership of Academician Zhong Nanshan, the Committee will provide professional advice for the review of the registration of Chinese patent medicines in Macao and the evaluation of the quality, effectiveness and safety of Chinese patent medicines, so as to promote the high-quality development of the Chinese medicine industry in Macao. The traditional Chinese medicine industry is a new industry that Macao focuses on developing. Academician Zhong Nanshan said that the Macao SAR government has appointed 17 mainland and local experts with at least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field as members of the Expert Advisory Committee for the Evaluation of Chinese Patent Drugs. He hoped that Macao would take this opportunity to give play to the advantages of "one country, two systems" in drug evaluation and approval, and help Macao's innovative development of Chinese patent drugs.
