Intangible cultural heritage: extensive social participation, protection and inheritance by everyone

Recently, the large reference book of intangible cultural heritage, the Dictionary of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage, was officially published and exhibited at the recent achievement exhibition themed "Striving for a New Era". The compilation and publication of the dictionary took six years. More than 500 experts, scholars and professionals in the field of intangible cultural heritage protection participated in the writing of the dictionary, and 31 provincial (district, city) intangible cultural heritage protection centers jointly participated in the organizational work. The term planning and connotation interpretation strive to comprehensively and objectively reflect the overall face of China's intangible cultural heritage, and reflect the practical experience of the CPC in uniting and leading the people of all ethnic groups in protecting intangible cultural heritage Theoretical exploration and outstanding achievements. The compilation and publication of the dictionary systematically combed and summarized the great development of the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage in China in recent years. Nowadays, "intangible cultural heritage" has gradually become a popular word both online and offline. Looking at the essence through the phenomenon, the popularity of "intangible cultural heritage" actually reflects the fact that the concept of intangible cultural heritage is deeply rooted in people's minds, and the status quo of intangible cultural heritage embedded in people's daily life, which proves that the protection of intangible cultural heritage in China has made great progress. These developments include but are not limited to the following. First, the top-level design points out the direction for intangible cultural heritage protection. Ten years ago, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Intangible Cultural Heritage was promulgated and implemented, laying a solid legal foundation for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. In the past 10 years, relevant departments have continuously improved and refined the identification and management methods of intangible cultural heritage inheritors and the management methods of special funds for intangible cultural heritage protection, gradually improved the supporting policies and intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance system, and promoted the legalization and standardization of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance. It points out the direction for the protection of intangible cultural heritage. Second, publicity and guidance have made the concept of intangible cultural heritage protection deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. What is Intangible Cultural Heritage? Maybe many years ago, it was just an abstract concept in people's mind. However, with the establishment of the "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day", the promotion and guidance of relevant departments, and the extensive development of intangible cultural heritage festivals, activities, programs, and tourism, public awareness has undergone a qualitative leap. The image of intangible cultural heritage in people's mind is becoming more and more specific and attractive. It is a legend like Liang Zhu and Ashima; It is a variety of traditional performing arts, such as paper-cut, folk songs, Beijing Opera, crosstalk, etc; It is a traditional technique, medicine and calendar, such as ceramic making technique, Tibetan medicine, twenty-four solar terms, etc; It is a folk custom, a traditional sport and a variety of folk games. It is a vivid witness of the continuous inheritance of Chinese civilization and an important basis for connecting national emotions. The concept of intangible cultural heritage protection has been deeply rooted in people's minds, and everyone is participating in the great project of protecting and inheriting intangible cultural heritage in their own way. Third, intangible cultural heritage can stimulate unlimited potential. In recent years, such activities as "Intangible Cultural Heritage on Campus" and "Intangible Cultural Heritage in Community" have made intangible cultural heritage "fly into the homes of ordinary people"; "Intangible Cultural Heritage+Cultural Creativity", "Intangible Cultural Heritage+Tourism", "Intangible Cultural Heritage+Education", "Intangible Cultural Heritage+Live Broadcasting" and so on make the intangible cultural heritage alive and popular, inject new vitality into Chinese traditional culture, and stimulate unlimited possibilities. Significant achievements have been made in the protection and utilization of intangible cultural heritage. A number of precious, endangered and valuable intangible cultural heritages have been effectively protected.
