Zuimei Terraced Fields

As soon as you enter Guangxi, you will rise from the mountain peak on the flat ground, drive along the winding mountain highway, and drive among the rolling mountains. After two and a half hours, you will arrive at the destination - Longji Mountain, Ping'an Village, Longji Town, Longsheng Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is an original village of terraces covering 70 square kilometers. At the terrace parking lot of Hongyao Dazhai Village in Jinkeng, the first people I met were a group of Yao women wearing black turbans. They enthusiastically put the tourists' backpacks into the baskets, and then led them on the bluestone road. The steaming fog and curling smoke covered us, and we walked up the mountain step by step. Because the mountain is steep, the large terrace is only one mu, and the small broken field can only hold two or three rows of seedlings, which is called "frog jumping three fields". Because of the flow of water, the terraced fields are changing into light and shadow. About an hour later, halfway up the mountain, I saw a village called Tiantou Village. Smelling the smell of bamboo mixed with the food from the small restaurant, we were hungry and went in to eat bamboo rice and chicken. Bamboo rice is made by baking shredded rice stuffed into bamboo tube. Bamboo chicken is baked with chicken, mushrooms, ginger sugar, sesame and pepper. After drinking and eating, I walked for 20 minutes and arrived at the observation platform of the thousand floor ladder. The terraces are like ladders to the sky. After another half hour's walk, we arrived at the Xishan Shaole Sightseeing Tower, which has a wider view, so we chose the Diaojiao Tower to stay here. When you open the carved wooden window, you can see the terraced fields beyond your reach. Nearby is the tawny Wanjing Building, which is made of fir wood. In the distance, someone is carrying a load in the terraces. The next day, when I got up early, the fog was very heavy, and I squeezed into the third floor of the observation deck to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, the sun had just begun to emerge, and I fell into a sea of clouds and struggled to get out. Not reconciled, I walked for another 50 minutes to the top of the Golden Buddha in the clouds. The viewing platform above is the best place to look down on the terraces. When looking around, the terraces come majestically and are full of beautiful scenery. Take a cable car down the mountain from the top of the Golden Buddha, return to the Dazhai parking lot, and rent a car to the Ping'an Zhuang Village Terrace Scenic Area located in Ping'an Village. There are 170 families and more than 700 people there. Climb up to the top of the Kowloon Five Tigers Viewing Platform, and look around, the nine ridges from the main vein of the Dragon Ridge look like nine dragons bending over the Golden River to drink, and the five slightly raised hills nearby look like five tigers squatting. Walk along the flagstone road on the right for an hour, and after passing the Fengyu Bridge, you will arrive at the Seven Stars Accompanying the Moon Scenic Area on the opposite mountain. It is vaguely shown that there are seven round hills in front of you, like guarding the curved moon field. At the foot of the mountain, walking more than half an hour from the Dazhai parking lot, there is a Huangluo Hongyao Village. The women in the village have long hair over their knees. They usually wash their hair with mineral water and mountain herbs. Their hair is still dark and shiny when they are old. They love to wear red clothes and big silver earrings, so they are called "Hongyao". Unmarried women wear old style cloth shoes with red clothes and black skirts, and the black cloth covers their heads without exposing their hair; Married women like to wear black and red clothes with long hair coiled on their heads; A bun is added to the head of a woman who has given birth to a child; Old women wear black clothes with red belts. They dress up neatly and comb their long hair for tourists. There are no courtyard walls in the village, but all are stilted buildings. The first floor is for raising pigs, the second floor is for people, and the third floor is for grain storage. From here to the west, walk along the winding mountain road paved with green bricks for more than half an hour to reach the Longji Ancient Zhuang Village. There are frogs in the terraced fields with beautiful curves all around
