Since January 2020, relying on the "Digital CPPCC" platform, the CPPCC Provincial Committee has innovatively opened a committee guest room, arranged members of the CPPCC Provincial Committee to take turns on duty online every working day, answered questions from the masses, reflected social conditions and public opinions through interaction with netizens, and achieved all-weather duty performance, and "cloud answering" promoted the solution of practical problems. Up to now, 615 sessions of CPPCC members' online meeting rooms have been held, with more than 22000 messages left by netizens, averaging 35 messages per session, forming a new online channel for CPPCC members to keep in touch with the masses. How can all members participate in the assessment of the rotating members? How can we keep pace with the times to consolidate and expand the institutional advantages of consultative democracy? In recent years, the CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee has tried to promote the deep integration of the Internet and the CPPCC's democratic consultation, explore the establishment of a pragmatic and functional platform for the normalization of consultation, and further release the potential and effectiveness of specialized consultation institutions. In 2019, the CPPCC Provincial Committee identified the construction of the "Digital CPPCC" as a key work, formulated and implemented the construction plan of the "Digital CPPCC" (2019-2021), and built the "Digital CPPCC" platform using the provincial government cloud, government network, government affairs big data center, Guangdong provincial affairs, Guangdong political exchanges, Guangdong TV and other public basic resources. After more than a year of construction, in January 2020, on the basis of the launch of the "Digital CPPCC", the Committee's guest room "opened the door". During the third session of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee, the reception room was put into trial operation simultaneously. Yue Xuejun, a member of the CPPCC Provincial Committee and a professor of the School of Electronic Engineering of South China Agricultural University, was one of the two members on duty on the first day of the trial operation. She took a tablet and two mobile phones with her to better watch. "This is the first time to meet a guest, and everyone is inexperienced. How can I reply in a timely and accurate manner? I have also thought about many methods. For example, I have a little trick, which is to install voice transcription software on my mobile phone. During the meeting, I recorded my answers into text, and on this basis, I organized and typeset them, which improved the response efficiency." Yue Xuejun recalled. In the opinion of Lai Nanhui, Deputy Secretary General of the CPPCC Provincial Committee, the opening of an online committee guest room has expanded a new path for the masses to express their demands and put forward their opinions. Centering on public interests and social hot topics, CPPCC members and netizens can carry out equal and rational discussions, and can play the role of online publicizing policies, dispelling doubts, listening to the voice of the people, and collecting public opinion. Since then, the working process of the reception room has been gradually improved in practice. In March 2020, the General Office of the CPPCC Provincial Committee specially formulated the management measures for the operation of the reception room, specifying the content of the reception and the standardized reception workflow: the annual reception plan was formulated at the beginning of each year.
