2022-09-09

The autumn wind is comfortable. Compared with hot summer and cold winter, autumn is a comfortable and pleasant season. However, "dryness", as the main Qi of autumn, may invade the human body at any time. Dryness is common in autumn or dry climate. In the early autumn, the summer heat has not dissipated, and the warmth is still there. The dryness evil coincides with the warm and hot Qi, which is manifested as warm dryness; In late autumn, winter is approaching, and the cold is gradually rising. The combination of dryness and cold evil will show cool dryness. Warm dryness is caused by the combination of warm and hot evil, which is very easy to hurt people's body fluid. Once it invades the human body, it will be clinically manifested as dry mouth and nose, dry cough and less sputum, adverse gas and asthma, dry throat and fond of drinking, and dishonoured fur. It can even damage the blood collaterals, and lead to serious diseases such as hemoptysis and limb impotence. Chinese medicine aims at dryness and evil invading the lung. On the one hand, it should "moisten", that is, replenish body fluid, nourish yin and moisten the lung. Commonly used Chinese medicines such as ginseng, Ophiopogon japonicus, asparagus, pear peel, tremella, etc; On the other hand, we also need to "propagandize", that is, to propagandize ventilators and disperse evil Qi. Commonly used Chinese medicines include perilla leaves, mulberry leaves, Platycodon grandiflorum, Fructus aurantii, and Qianhu. In addition, we also need to cooperate with tangerine peel, bitter almond and other products to reduce Qi and phlegm. From the perspective of prevention, when autumn comes, you can properly eat tremella, honey, lotus root, autumn pear and other Yin nourishing and lung nourishing products to nourish yin and generate saliva and prevent dryness from invading the lung. In addition, we should also take care of the spleen and stomach, and eat foods that complement the lungs and spleen, such as Huai yam, to cultivate soil and generate gold. (outlook new era)
