Actively cultivate the concept of healthy aging

2022-09-07

A few days ago, the Beijing aging development report (2021) released by the office of the Beijing Municipal Commission on aging and the Beijing Association for the elderly pointed out that the permanent population aged 60 and above in Beijing accounted for more than 20% of the total permanent population, and Beijing officially entered a moderately aging society. Before that, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities had entered a moderately aging society. In the face of the challenges brought by aging, it has become more important and urgent to help the elderly achieve a healthy aging. That is to say, it is necessary to keep the elderly in good condition in terms of physical, mental and social functions, prevent the occurrence of diseases and support their treatment. Previously, the 14th five year plan for healthy aging (hereinafter referred to as the plan) jointly issued by 15 departments including the National Health Commission proposed that by 2025, the allocation of resources for elderly health services will be more reasonable, a comprehensive, continuous and covering urban and rural elderly health service system will be basically established, the elderly health security system will be more sound, the social environment for healthy life of the elderly will be more friendly, and the health needs of the elderly will be better met, The health level of the elderly continues to improve, and the healthy life expectancy continues to increase. The plan outlines a clear road map for promoting the high-quality development of health services for the elderly, of which "strengthening health education and improving the active health ability of the elderly" is the first. The concept of "active health" is put forward in the national policy document, which is intended to move forward and prevent first. Active health means that in addition to relying on external forces to maintain the dignity and quality of life of the elderly, it is also necessary to encourage the elderly to actively maintain health through internal forces and maintain good physical, mental and social functions. This can not only improve the individual health level of the elderly, ensure the quality of life, but also reduce the burden of families and save more public medical resources for the society. To promote the high-quality development of health services for the elderly and accelerate the implementation of active health goals among the elderly, the key is to promote healthy behaviors. To promote active health and promote healthy behaviors, we may start from the following aspects. To mobilize the active awareness of the elderly on disease prevention and improve their health literacy, we need to strengthen health education in all aspects to promote active health with a high level of health literacy. According to the health status, the aging population can be roughly divided into three categories: healthy aging population, normal aging population and sick aging population. Among them, the morbid aging population needs to be prevented and controlled; Healthy aging population is the direction and goal of society and individuals; And the normal aging population is fully plastic, which should also be the focus of the aging work. Standardize the media information dissemination, so that the elderly can obtain high-quality health information efficiently and conveniently. At present, the Internet has become one of the main carriers of health information dissemination. However, the elderly are not optimistic about the application of the Internet, which is mainly manifested in their insufficient ability to identify the good and bad information, and their insufficient ability to use the Internet to actively obtain content. It is very easy to make a wrong judgment and even fall into a fraud trap. Therefore, in the short term, it is necessary to purify the network ecology, prevent the spread of false information, and enrich the supply of high-quality health information. In the long run, we should constantly enhance the media literacy of the elderly group, through various "back feeding"
