Ningde is a city of mountains and seas. Since the song and Yuan Dynasties, the Han and she ancestors living here have taken advantage of their unique advantages to actively develop the marine economy. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Ningde was economically developed and culturally prosperous, which left a large number of folk documents in this area. Since the reform and opening up, the local government has attached great importance to the collection and protection of folk documents. In recent years, the academic team of Professor Zhou Zhengqing of the History Department of Jinan University has actively cooperated with Ningde City to make the treasured documents of eastern Fujian "live" and promote the development of the research of regional history of eastern Fujian. The "first Fujian contract spirit and rural governance academic seminar and the fifth Fujian Zhejiang Jiangxi regional history research workshop" sponsored by the school of Arts of Jinan University and Ningde culture and Tourism Bureau was held recently. Nearly 100 experts and scholars from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat sen University, Fudan University, Xiamen University, Nankai University, Wuhan University, East China Normal University, Jilin University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Macao University of science and technology and other universities and scientific research institutions gathered together to discuss the research of regional history and the collation and research of folk documents. At the opening ceremony of the conference, experts and scholars conducted academic discussions around the basic methods and paths of regional history research and folk documents research. Zheng Zhenman, a professor of Xiamen University, spoke highly of the discovery, collection and arrangement of the documents of eastern Fujian, pointing out that the documents of eastern Fujian are the witness of the development of the integration of eastern Fujian and she Han by the ancestors of eastern Fujian. At the same time, the study of the documents of eastern Fujian has far-reaching practical significance, such as promoting the spirit of contract and deepening rural governance. Zhao Shiyu, a professor of Peking University, based on his own field investigation and research in Jiangnan, Jiangxi, Beijing and other places, discussed "the spatial positioning of regional history". He believed that the research on regional history should be in-depth and delicate, so as to break through the traditional cognition of the regional historical spatial positioning and make the regional history research occupy a place in the new historical narrative. Liu Zhiwei, a professor of Sun Yat sen University, takes the research on Xiapu documents, Pingnan documents and Manichaeism as examples, and emphasizes that the research on folk documents should go beyond the general description of historical phenomena and grasp them in the context of regional social development. Chang Jianhua, a professor of Nankai University, made a thematic report on "Fujian's social economy and life in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty - Taking the criminal subject as the basic data". Using the criminal subject materials of the Qianlong period, he discussed the population, marriage and family problems in Fujian during the Qianlong period. David Ke, a professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, combined with his own research on the secret society of the Qing Dynasty and the clans of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, pointed out that the study of historical anthropology should return to the historical scene and pay attention to the uniqueness of a certain region. Li Linqi, a professor of Anhui Normal University, believes that it has become an academic trend to use folk literature centered on contract documents to study Chinese history, and has formed an important school of contemporary Chinese history. In the study of contract documents, it is necessary to strengthen overall research and comparative research, and empower new rural construction and rural governance with the spiritual value revealed by contract documents. Subsequently, the scholars attending the meeting discussed such topics as "Research on contract documents in East Fujian", "national law and local methods" and "local social governance in the Ming and Qing Dynasties". Huang Guoxin, a professor of Sun Yat sen University, studied the local chronicle Shouning waiting chronicle written by Feng Menglong, a writer in the late Ming Dynasty, when he was the county magistrate of Shouning
