The National Health Commission recently held a news conference in Beijing to introduce the progress and results of the "group type" assistance of medical personnel to Tibet and Xinjiang. Since the implementation of the "group type" medical personnel assistance to Tibet and Xinjiang, the medical service capacity of Tibet and Xinjiang has been continuously improved, the personnel training has been more systematic and accurate, the hospital management system has been continuously improved, and the local people's sense of health has been continuously improved. Li Dachuan, deputy director of the medical administration and medical administration bureau of the national health and Health Commission, introduced that the national health and Health Commission and the central organization department have jointly organized and implemented the work of "group type" medical personnel assistance to Tibet and Xinjiang. They have successively identified the "1 + 7" and "7 + 1" prefecture level and municipal hospitals in Tibet and Xinjiang. Last year, 13 County People's hospitals in Tibet were included in the scope of support. Over the past seven years, the medical service level of the recipient hospitals has been effectively improved, a large number of medical personnel have been trained, and a new way to accelerate the development of health care in Tibet and Xinjiang has been explored. Since the "group type" assistance of medical personnel to Tibet and Xinjiang, more than 2500 high-level medical personnel have been sent to Tibet and Xinjiang, helping more than 1000 medical teams and more than 5800 medical personnel in Tibet and Xinjiang. More than 10000 medical backbones at different levels have been accurately trained, and more than 4000 medical personnel have been received to the corresponding support hospitals for training and further study in a planned and step-by-step manner. The overall quality of medical personnel has been significantly improved. Medical service capacity continued to improve. All supporting hospitals concentrated their advantages to help the recipient hospitals. By the end of 2021, the proportion of level III and level IV operations carried out by Tibet's assisted hospitals had reached 56%, and the success rate of rescuing critically ill patients had reached 89%. There were 419 major diseases that did not leave the autonomous region, 2413 common diseases that did not leave the prefecture or City, and minor diseases that could not be treated in the county or district. Eight assisted hospitals in Xinjiang have realized the transformation of a number of key specialties from "nothing to have" and "from having to being excellent". 332 kinds of acute and critical diseases have not left the autonomous region, and 1914 kinds of common diseases have not left the prefecture. At present, 16 hospitals above the municipal level have been built into level III hospitals, of which 15 have been built into level III class A hospitals, and the comprehensive service capacity and management level have been significantly improved.
