5g + XR: let the dream of "digital reality integration" shine into reality

What kind of speed and passion will 5g + XR produce? 5g technology brings not only the improvement of network transmission rate, but also supports high-speed connection with low delay, solves many problems faced by XR industry, and promotes the further optimization of XR product form and function. Vertigo is a big problem faced by XR devices. "The data of user eye tracking and gesture recognition can be quickly transmitted to 5g base stations through 5g, and then connected to the edge cloud through 5g core network. In this process, the 5g connection delay is 20 milliseconds, while the delay of the whole process from user action to rendering to display is 70 milliseconds". This is the first demonstration of end-to-end collaborative separation rendering unbounded XR technology based on 5g slices in the industry. XR users use 5g high-speed, low latency network transmission to collaborate with the edge cloud side for real-time rendering, and combine local optimized rendering on the XR terminal side to provide a low latency immersive unbounded XR experience. The demonstration proved the horizontal expansion ability of 5g technology - the large-scale commercialization of unbounded XR and other new businesses that can support end-to-end collaborative separation and rendering, and opened a new chapter for the application and innovation of 5g slicing technology in the XR field.
