The new generation of Taiwan compatriots have joined forces to study in the hometown of overseas Chinese for young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait

The 8th "China's love for both sides of the Strait" new generation of Taiwan compatriots friendship pairing and "Jinjiang experience" research and learning activity was launched in Jinjiang City, Quanzhou, Fujian Province on the 10th. In the next five days, 80 teenagers from both sides of the Strait will eat, live and act together to feel the new changes in the hometown of overseas Chinese. Jinjiang is only 5.3 nautical miles away from Jinmen. It is located at the forefront of cross-strait exchanges and cooperation. There are more than 1 million Taiwan compatriots whose ancestral home is Jinjiang. Since 2015, Jinjiang has made every effort to build a characteristic brand activity of "China's love between the two sides of the Strait", which has become a platform to promote the youth on both sides of the Strait to establish friendship and go hand in hand. Wu Chaohui, chairman of the Jinjiang Taiwan compatriots Association, said that through pairing activities, many teenagers on both sides of the Strait have forged deep friendship and achieved interconnection, interaction and mutual visits. During the event, young people from both sides of the Strait will visit Anta Museum, laiwang liangpin hall, Southern Fujian Ancient early taste inheritance base, Dehua Qudou palace ancient kiln site, Yongchun old vinegar cultural innovation park and other art and culture experience bases to experience Chinese traditional culture in research. Affected by the epidemic, the event mainly invited the children of Taiwan compatriots living in Quanzhou for a long time. Chen Xueyi, a Taiwanese student, came to Quanzhou for only one year and was full of expectations for this research activity. "I haven't been to many places during the trip. I hope to take this opportunity to learn more about and experience the traditional culture of Southern Fujian." Chen Zongrong, a Taiwanese student in senior two this year, came to Jinjiang to live and study at the age of 6 and was quite interested in sports. "I most want to go to Anta museum to see the entrepreneurial history of this big brand." Chenchuanfang, vice mayor of Jinjiang City, expressed the hope that the teenagers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait would cultivate feelings, grow together and win-win future in the research and learning activities. He also hoped that everyone could be a "practitioner" and a "person with a heart" for the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and jointly promote cross-strait exchanges, cooperation and development.
