During the event, the Provincial Overseas Chinese office and the Provincial Federation of overseas Chinese issued plaques and letters of appointment to the co construction units, cooperation units and members of the expert group; Subsequently, all the co construction and cooperation units, experts and scholars held discussions on the theme of "continuously promoting the construction of expert groups and deepening the volunteer service for overseas Chinese". The Guangdong volunteer service expert group for overseas Chinese is the first public welfare volunteer service expert group for overseas Chinese in China. It is jointly built by more than 30 units and organizations, including the Guangdong Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong and Macao compatriots service center, the Legal Advisory Committee of the Guangdong Federation of overseas Chinese, and the Guangdong volunteer Federation. There are 128 volunteer service experts in the first batch. It consists of the overseas Chinese legal policy advisory volunteer service expert group, the overseas Chinese medical and health advisory volunteer service expert group Four volunteer service expert groups, including the expert group on consulting volunteer services for overseas Chinese's study and entrepreneurship, and the expert group on consulting volunteer services for overseas Chinese's government affairs, spared no effort to build a "global communication" platform for overseas Chinese, laid a "special road" system for overseas Chinese in Guangdong, and facilitated all-round and in-depth exchanges between overseas Chinese and their ancestral countries. "The expert group should strengthen the resource integration of co construction and cooperation units, form a normalized working mechanism, provide professional, information-based and socialized services for the majority of overseas Chinese, and explore a new, convenient, efficient and effective way to break through time and space for serving overseas Chinese in the new era." According to the relevant person in charge of the Provincial Overseas Chinese office, the establishment of Guangdong volunteer service expert group for overseas Chinese is a practical measure for the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Department and overseas Chinese related units to create a normalized and professional brand for warming and benefiting overseas Chinese, and to innovate the way of serving overseas Chinese.
