Focusing on the commanding heights of deep space and deep-sea science and technology, a number of scientific satellites developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, such as Wukong, Mozi, Huiyan, Taiji and Guangmu, have enabled China to occupy a favorable position in the international competition of space science. We have successfully developed "deep-sea warrior", "striver" and "haidou-1" and other pedigree deep-sea equipment, leading China's deep-sea scientific research into the 10000 meter era. Focusing on the major needs of aero-engine blades, super-resolution lithography machines, bionic synthetic rubber, high-end bearings, high-performance special materials and so on, we have given full play to the advantages of systematization and institutionalization, broken through a number of key core technologies, and provided strong scientific and technological support for ensuring the safety of the industrial chain. Second, we should aim at the forefront of science and technology, strengthen basic research, continuously improve the original innovation ability, and speed up the creation of the original innovation source. It has produced a number of high-level major original achievements, such as iron-based high-temperature superconductors, nano confinement catalysis, quantum computing prototypes, carbon dioxide synthetic starch, etc., leading China's condensed matter physics, molecular science, nano materials, stem cells and other important frontier directions into the world's first array. In the natural index ranking for measuring the level of basic research, the Chinese Academy of Sciences has ranked first in the global science and education institutions for 9 consecutive years. The Chinese Academy of Sciences has developed and built the internationally leading major scientific and technological infrastructure, such as the familiar "Chinese heavenly eye", the high altitude cosmic ray observatory and the "artificial sun", which have become a sharp tool for basic research and scientific and technological research, and supported us to achieve a number of original and major achievements in pulsar research, neutrino oscillation, magnetic confinement nuclear fusion and so on. I would like to make a special note here that these facilities are open to scientists at home and abroad. At present, the "China heavenly eye" has provided scientific observation time to 27 scientific projects from 14 countries around the world. Thirdly, it has promoted the scientific research achievements to go out of the laboratory, and about 110000 scientific and technological achievements have been transferred to the society in recent ten years, helping Chinese enterprises to develop in high quality. For example, the "dawn" supercomputer, artificial intelligence chip, stem cell repair technology and carbon ion cancer treatment device developed by the Chinese Academy of sciences have promoted the development of relevant emerging industries. Many technologies such as coal to ethanol and coal to light olefins of the Chinese Academy of sciences have been successfully commercialized, providing scientific and technological solutions for clean and efficient utilization of coal and energy security. We actively carried out scientific research on anti epidemic, isolated the world's first novel coronavirus strain, developed a variety of vaccines, detection reagents, drugs, etc., and actively supported scientific and technological anti epidemic. In order to strengthen the protection and utilization of the black land, we have mobilized more than 40 research institutes and more than 1000 scientists to jointly carry out the "black land granary" science and technology battle in the three northeastern provinces and Inner Mongolia, and preliminary results have been achieved.
