China appreciates the adherence to the one China principle and the pursuit of a friendly policy towards China, which fully conforms to the fundamental interests of the Solomon islands countries and people. Second, jointly build the "the Belt and Road". Strengthen the docking of development strategies and tap the potential of practical cooperation. China supports Sri Lanka in giving full play to its comparative advantages and accelerating its development and revitalization. It will take practical measures to facilitate two-way trade and investment, expand exports of Sri Lanka's advantageous products to China, and support Chinese enterprises to invest in Sri Lanka. China will grant zero tariff treatment to the products exported to China for 98% of the tax items. Third, jointly implement global development initiatives. The Chinese side will support the reconstruction of Honiara, the capital, and implement the assistance projects such as the Pacific Games Stadium, athletes' village, national referral hospital and comprehensive medical center, and implement more livelihood projects; We will give full support to all sides in combating the COVID-19 until we finally overcome the disease. Fourth, jointly create a safe and stable environment. Both sides agreed that security is a prerequisite for development. China firmly supports the efforts of the Sri Lanka government to maintain domestic stability and long-term stability, and will continue to carry out law enforcement and security cooperation according to the needs of the Sri Lanka and at its request, and help the Sri Lanka to strengthen its police capacity-building. Fifth, jointly promote connectivity. The two sides signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption and reached a consensus on civil aviation transportation cooperation, which will provide greater convenience for the two countries to strengthen personnel exchanges and promote the people to people exchanges between the two countries. Sixth, jointly address climate change. The Chinese side will provide all necessary support and assistance to the ROK to enhance its capacity to cope with climate change. The two sides will strengthen cooperation in marine environment protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency response, blue economy and other fields, so that the blue Pacific will benefit the people. Seventh, jointly promote local exchanges. Jiangmen City and Honiara city in Guangdong Province of China have become the first pair of sister cities of the two countries. The two sides should give full play to the characteristics and advantages of local exchanges, encourage more provinces and cities of the two countries to establish good relations, and stimulate the vitality of local non-governmental exchanges. Eighth, jointly safeguard the interests of developing countries. The two sides will continue to maintain close communication and cooperation in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations, oppose zero sum game, bullying and coercion, and interference in internal affairs, advocate and practice genuine multilateralism, safeguard the international system with the United Nations as the core, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries.
