Learning to eat meat scientifically is good for your health

2022-05-20

May 15-21 is the 8th National Nutrition week. In recent years, the material and living conditions of Chinese residents have been greatly improved, and the phenomenon of insufficient nutrition has been greatly alleviated. However, there are still unreasonable places in the dietary structure, excessive intake of animal food, especially animal meat, and high intake of cooking oil and salt. Li Guangyi, a nutritionist at the fourth central hospital, reminded that learning to eat meat scientifically is beneficial to health. The dietary guidelines recommend that every adult eat 120g to 200g animal food every day, aquatic products at least twice a week and an egg every day. In daily life, the weight of a pork chop and a chicken leg we use is between 100g and 150g, and 70g to 100g is left for the edible part after removing the bone. Obviously, it's easy for us to overeat, so how can we do it in moderation? First of all, learn some nutrition knowledge, make a plan for your own or family's diet, prepare weekly recipes and choose meat reasonably. Try to arrange animal food in each meal, neither focusing on excessive diet, nor clear soup and little water, nor meat and fishy. Learn to measure the size of food materials and change "big" into "small", such as shredding and slicing, which can not only meet the appetite, but also control the amount of food. Do less "big meat" and more "small meat". Small meat is equipped with a large number of vegetables, which can not only control the intake of meat, but also increase the intake of vegetables, which can kill two birds with one stone. Reasonable cooking, less frying and choosing the correct cooking method can retain the nutritional components of food to the greatest extent. It is best to use steaming, boiling, stewing, simmering and frying. Finally, when dining out, pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetables, order more fish, or use beans instead of livestock. (Xinhua News Agency)
