A few days ago, the reporter learned from the Qinghai Provincial Health Commission that in the past three years, the monitoring of key occupational diseases in Qinghai has expanded from 17 to 121. A total of 168921 workers have carried out occupational health examinations, 833 suspected occupational diseases have been detected, and 397 newly diagnosed occupational diseases, including 327 pneumoconiosis. In recent years, Qinghai has adhered to the five character strategy of "prevention, treatment, management, education and construction", strengthened the responsibilities of the government, departments, employers and workers, and focused on strengthening the construction of occupational disease prevention and control capacity. Every year, 50 medical institutions and 40 non-medical institutions are selected to carry out radiation protection monitoring. The province has carried out 6322 occupational health examinations for radiation workers and 5731 personal measurement monitoring. Qinghai has made clear the basic situation of dust hazards of employers and reported the health status of occupational pneumoconiosis patients by carrying out special treatment of dust and poison hazards in key industries such as mining, metallurgy, chemical industry and building materials and tackling key problems of pneumoconiosis. From 2019 to 2021, the proportion of occupational pneumoconiosis with less than 5 years of exposure to dust in Qinghai accounted for 23.8%, 15.9% and 15.2% of the total number of annual reported occupational diseases, respectively, showing a significant downward trend. It is reported that Qinghai has successively carried out active monitoring of pneumoconiosis in Xining City, Haidong city and Haixi Prefecture, where dust hazard enterprises are concentrated and migrant workers returning home are concentrated. It has provided free occupational health examination services for 2959 workers exposed to dust, and carried out monitoring and on-site investigation of occupational disease hazard factors in workplaces for 2028 secondary employers. In addition, Qinghai has also established 11 rehabilitation stations for pneumoconiosis patients in Xining City, Haidong city and Haixi Prefecture, where pneumoconiosis patients are relatively concentrated, relying on community health service centers or township health centers.
