In the dietary guidelines for Chinese residents (2022), two of the eight basic guidelines contain specific requirements of "not drinking or drinking less sugary drinks". Among them, in the guideline of "less oil, less salt, control sugar and limit wine", it is emphasized that "the intake of added sugar should be controlled, not more than 50g per day, preferably less than 25g"; In the guideline of "eat regularly and drink plenty of water", drinking plenty of water instead of sugary drinks is a major focus. According to the latest data released in the dietary guidelines, the overweight and obesity rate of children and adolescents aged 6-17 in China has reached 19.0%, and that of adult residents has exceeded 50%. Sugary drinks may be the "calories" you drink unconsciously, which is easy to cause excessive intake of free sugar and lead to obesity. In recent years, the consumption of sugary drinks by Chinese children has been increasing. The 2021 Scientific Research Report on dietary guidelines for Chinese residents pointed out that excessive intake of sugary drinks can increase the risk of obesity or weight gain in children and adults. Therefore, reducing the consumption of sugar free drinks and replacing them with boiled water, tea and sugar free drinks on the market is a "big step" towards Oriental dietary balance through sugar control. It is understood that the dietary guide for Chinese residents (2022) has specially updated a basic criterion - "being able to cook, choose and read labels". Learning to understand the nutrients behind food and choose better and healthy food has become an important skill for the public to have a balanced diet and a healthy life. In daily life, food nutrition labels usually contain the name, content and percentage of energy and nutrients in food. According to China's standards, if the sugar content in every 100g or 100ml food is less than or equal to 5g, it is "low sugar food", and if it is less than or equal to 0.5g, it is "sugar free food". With such a "ruler", consumers can more easily choose low sugar or sugar free drinks to avoid excessive sugar intake caused by excessive drinking of drinks with high sugar content.
