On January 20, State Councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi held a video meeting with Germany's new foreign minister Burke. Wang Yi said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany. The two sides should implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, summarize the development experience of bilateral relations, adhere to being a model of win-win cooperation, a leader in China EU relations, a promoter of new international relations and a partner beyond social system differences, and constantly strengthen the main tone of dialogue and cooperation in China Germany relations. Belburke said that Germany is committed to developing a stable partnership with China, will continue to pursue the one China policy, and will take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The two sides agreed to hold well the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, prepare for the seventh round of consultation between the Chinese and German governments, strengthen docking and plan future cooperation. We will give full play to the role of dialogue mechanisms at all levels, such as the high-level financial dialogue, the strategic dialogue on diplomacy and security, and the dialogue on countries under the rule of law. On the basis of mutual respect, hold equal dialogue on human rights, democracy and other topics, enhance mutual understanding, and refrain from "microphone diplomacy". We will further strengthen educational, non-governmental and local exchanges and carry out exchanges between more than 100 pairs of friendly provinces, prefectures (cities) of the two countries in various ways.
