On January 11, State Councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi met with Secretary General naif of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Wang Yi said that both China and the sea are important forces of stability. In the face of the uncertainty caused by the Centennial changes and the impact of the epidemic, we should work together to play a more active role in regional peace and stability and world peace and development. Naif said that China is an important strategic partner and the largest trading partner of the GCC. The GCC highly appreciates China's important influence and positive role in international and regional affairs and is full of expectations for the future of bilateral relations. The two sides agreed that the conditions for establishing a strategic partnership between China and the sea are ripe and will accelerate this process. They agreed to hold the fourth China Sea strategic dialogue as soon as possible and jointly formulate and sign an action plan for the strategic dialogue for the next three years. Both sides agreed to complete the negotiation of the China Sea Free Trade Agreement as soon as possible. On the same day, Wang Yi held talks with Bahraini foreign minister zayeni in Wuxi. Wang Yi expressed that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China Pakistan relations have developed steadily and healthily, and pragmatic cooperation has achieved positive results. Thank Bahrain for its firm support on issues involving China's core interests and major concerns. China is willing to be Bahrain's long-term and reliable strategic partner. It will continue to provide vaccines according to Bahrain's needs and encourage more powerful Chinese enterprises to invest in Bahrain. Zayeni said that Bahrain opposes the politicization of human rights issues, supports China in hosting the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, and highly appreciates China's five point initiative on achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
