2021-12-24

According to the latest data of Guangzhou Customs, from January to November 2021, the customs supervised 150000 batches of food for Hong Kong and Macao, with a value of 5.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.6% and 18.3% respectively. Among them, 5000 batches of food for Australia are worth 130 million yuan. Guangdong is the largest supplier of food exported from the mainland to Hong Kong and Macao. The live pigs, poultry meat, raw milk and traditional Chinese medicine supervised by Guangzhou Customs account for 44%, 30%, 70% and 80% of the total supply from the mainland to Hong Kong and Macao respectively. Since the construction of the "vegetable basket" project in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Dawan District, Guangzhou Customs and local governments have jointly formulated a quality and safety monitoring index system, involving six categories of products, with a total limit index value of more than 20000 items. From January to November this year, more than 5500 samples of "vegetable baskets" such as fruits and vegetables, livestock and meat products, aquatic products and dairy products were taken, and more than 200000 test data were issued to effectively ensure the safe supply of products.
