Beijing continues to lead in AI city ranking

The aicc2021 Artificial Intelligence Computing conference hosted by the information and Electronic Engineering Department of the Chinese Academy of Engineering released the evaluation report on the development of Chinese artificial intelligence computing power from 2021 to 2022. The list of artificial intelligence cities was also freshly released. The top five were Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing and Shanghai. In this list, Beijing has ranked first for three consecutive years. This year, Nanjing entered the top five for the first time, and Jinan entered the top ten for the first time. The conference report also shows that the layout of domestic AI computing industry is accelerating, and the competition of artificial intelligence industry in cities is accelerating. In fact, countries around the world are accelerating the layout of artificial intelligence, and more than 60 countries and regions have issued artificial intelligence related policies. IDC data show that the total global investment in artificial intelligence software, hardware and services will exceed 540 billion yuan this year, and is expected to exceed 1.3 trillion yuan in 2025, with a five-year compound growth rate of 24.5%. China attaches great importance to the development of artificial intelligence and is accelerating the development of China's artificial intelligence industry by promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence and the real economy. Since 2019, China has successively promoted the establishment of eight artificial intelligence innovation and application pilot zones in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Jinan, Beijing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Chengdu, opened the scene to drive the industrial landing, developed the intelligent economy according to local conditions and continuously promoted industrial upgrading. At present, the scale of China's artificial intelligence core industry has exceeded 100 billion yuan, the number of enterprises has exceeded 2600, and the industry continues to grow.
