Wang Yi presided over the first China Pacific island foreign ministers' meeting

On October 21, the first China Pacific island foreign ministers' meeting was held by video. Wang Yi, State Councilor and foreign minister, presided over the meeting. Wang Yi said that in November 2018, President Xi Jinping held a successful collective meeting with the leaders of the Pacific island countries, and agreed to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership of mutual respect and common development, opening up a new era of all-round cooperation between the two sides.
