On October 20, the ethnic and Religious Committee of the municipal CPPCC held the Fourth Lecture of a series of lectures on "adhering to the direction of Sinicization of religion", and invited Kan Baoping, member of the CPPCC National Committee and vice chairman of the China Christian three self Patriotic Movement Committee, to make a special report on "Christianity and Sinicization of Christianity". Actively guiding religion to adapt to socialist society is not only an important part and foothold of the party's basic policy on religious work, but also the focus of religious work. In order to further implement the nineteen major spirits of the party and the important elaboration of general secretary Xi Jinping on ethnic and religious work, so that members can understand the central spirit and grasp the situation more deeply and comprehensively, the municipal CPPCC National and Religious Committee shall hold a series of lectures on the theme of "persisting in the orientation of religions in China" every year, according to the work of the Municipal Committee of the CPPCC. Kan Baoping introduced and explained the history of Christianity's introduction and Sinicization, the three self patriotic movement of Christianity, and the construction of Christian theological ideological system with Chinese characteristics. He said that Chinese Christianity should take root in Chinese culture and integrate into Chinese culture. With the goal of strengthening the "five identities", it should make an interpretation of the teachings and rules that keep pace with the times, form theological views that are in line with China's national conditions and characteristics, Chinese cultural traditions and the requirements of contemporary China's development and progress, and speak deeply to the teaching staff and believers in an easy to understand way. The members had an interactive exchange on the spot. They said that adhering to the direction of Sinicization of China's religion has a heavy task and a long way to go. We should deeply understand and implement the party's basic policy on religious work, fully understand the special importance of religious work, actively perform our duties and take the initiative to contribute to promoting the deepening and implementation of China's religion in China and better serving the overall situation of national development.
