Seven people, including Chen haohuan, an anti China Hong Kong riot, were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 6 to 12 months by the regional court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on the 16th on charges of holding or organizing "July 1" last year and inciting others to participate in unauthorized assembly. The case involved eight Anti China Hong Kong elements, seven of whom had pleaded guilty earlier. Among them, Chen haohuan was sentenced to 12 months, Zeng Jiancheng and Hu Zhiwei were sentenced to 10 months, Liang Guoxiong was sentenced to 8 months, and Xu Zijian, Zhu Kaidi and Deng Shili were sentenced to 6 months. The three defendants Chen haohuan, Zhu Kaidi and Liang Guoxiong are serving sentences for other cases. The judge decided that part of the sentence in this case should be executed by stages. The total sentence of Chen haohuan is 21 months, that of Zhu Kaidi is 8 months and that of Liang Guoxiong is 23 months. The remaining defendant, former Eastern District councillor Chen Rongtai, pleaded not guilty earlier, and his case was postponed to June next year. When sentencing, judge you Dekang said that the defendants involved in inciting others to participate in the unauthorized assembly wanted to incite more people to participate.
